He was driving a Bren gun carrier in the deserts of North Africa, when it came under attack from the air. Several were killed in the dive bombing raid.

and Mabel Violet Wraight (1915-1917).

He was a nephew of Alfred Stephen Prebble and Edward Prebble on the Hastingleigh Roll WW1 of Honour.

Civilian Occupation:

Worked in the butcher's shop in Stelling Minnis prior to WW2.
