Hastingleigh Motorcycling in 1968:
Cow Lees Meadow was hired out to the South East Riders' Association SERA for
motorcycle races. The noise, and the smell from the doped fuel used in the bikes
was not popular with the villagers, but the events attracted a large number of
competitors.
